#GoingNowhere

At the beginning of the year, I challenged myself to take daily videos of my drive, and the little moments along the way, as a way to remember that I don't always need to be doing something different to be happy. Ordinary moments can be beautiful.

Life is fleeting. It's often easy to take for granted the little things that don't have any obvious impact. I, for one, constantly crave new experiences, afraid of the thought of letting life pass me by. When I was younger, I used to have this dream of me driving alone on an empty road, going nowhere. This used to worry me - thinking that it was going to be a reflection of my life.

There were many times in my life when I didn't know where I was going. As one example, I majored in Forensic Science in my first year of university, thinking I wanted to be like Reid from Criminal Minds (Note: don't ever base your life decisions on a fictional character lol). Then, very quickly, I realized that my heart wasn't in it, and wanted to do something pertaining to writing.

Over the years, I've come to realize that even though at times it feels like we're #GoingNowhere. We do always end up where we need to be. So together, let's enjoy the ride and appreciate the little moments along the way.

Sincerely,

Iris
